A 10-year-old school going girl brought to the ED with c/o

•Fainting episode

History of presenting complaints

This fainting episode was few hours back with a brief loss of consciousness. Complaints of headache on and off since the last 2-3 days. There is no h/o vomiting. Her mother has noticed that she gets tired more easily, plays less since about 2-3 months and looks pale.

She was taken to a local doctor, about a month back who advised her to take multivitamin and iron syrup after deworming. She took it for about 15-20 days and then discontinued it.

There is no complaints of palpitations, abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, weight loss.

Past history: Nothing significant

Personal  history: Not attained menarche    

Diet: Vegetarian
